Hi, my name is Natalie Hazzard, I’m writing to you to ask for an art scholarship. I expect to attend Whitworth University in the fall of 2019 and wish to go into the graphic design path for 2-D or illustrative art specifically. My work revolves around illustrative work focusing on my and other peoples experiences. With my art, I hope to express other worldviews that a person might not have had or think about; to help people empathize with one another. My work is mainly mixed media with a tendency towards a combination of inks and watercolors, and I sometimes work with collages. As of now, I am working on a series of tarot cards that relate to my life as a person with anxiety. I have in the past gotten two awards for my art in my state fair’s youth art division.
